Who We Are

Summitas, LLC builds a secure client engagement platform for family offices and wealth management firms. This privacy policy covers the Summitas marketing website — the public site where you can learn about our platform and get in touch with us.

If you are a Summitas platform subscriber, your use of the platform is covered by your subscription agreement and the platform privacy policy.

What We Collect

Information you give us

When you fill out our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your work email address
  • Your firm type
  • Your topic of interest

If you choose to schedule a meeting, we also collect:

  • Your company name
  • Your phone number
  • How you heard about us
  • What you’re trying to accomplish

Information we collect automatically

When you visit this website, we may collect:

  • Your IP address and general location (country/region)
  • Your browser type and operating system
  • Which pages you visit and how long you stay
  • The website that referred you to us

Summitas respects your control over your information, and upon request, we will confirm whether we hold or are processing information that we have collected from you. You also have the right to amend or update inaccurate or incomplete personal information, request deletion of your personal information, or request that we no longer use it. Under certain circumstances we will not be able to fulfill your request, such as if it interferes with our regulatory obligations, affects legal matters, we cannot verify your identity, or it involves disproportionate cost or effort, but in any event we will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe and provide you an explanation. Security

We protect your information with encryption (TLS) in transit and follow industry-standard security practices. That said, no system is 100% secure. We take reasonable precautions, but we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We keep the information you submit through our contact form for as long as we need it to respond to your inquiry and maintain our business relationship. If you ask us to delete it, we will.

Children

This website is not intended for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from minors.

For EU and Swiss Residents

Summitas LLC complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Summitas LLC has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (EU-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from the European Union in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF. Summitas LLC has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-U.S. DPF. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles and/or the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern. In the context of onward transfers, Summitas LLC is accountable for the processing of personal data it receives, under the EU-U.S. DPF, and Swiss-U.S. DPF and subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. Summitas LLC remains liable under the EU-U.S. DPF Principles, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles if the Summitas LLC’s agent processes personal information in a manner inconsistent with the EU-U.S. DPF Principles, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles, unless Summitas LLC proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to damage.

In certain situations, Summitas LLC may be required to disclose personal data in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.

The Federal Trade Commission has jurisdiction over Summitas LLC’s compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF.

In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, Summitas LLC commits to resolve DPF Principles-related complaints about our collection and use of your personal information. EU and Swiss individuals with inquiries or complaints regarding our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF should first contact us.

Summitas LLC commits to refer unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. DPF to TRUSTe, an alternative dispute resolution provider based in the United States. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your DPF Principles-related complaint from us, or if we have not addressed your DPF Principles-related complaint to your satisfaction, please visit https://feedback-form.trustarc.com/watchdog/request for more information or to file a complaint. These dispute resolution services are provided at no cost to you.

For complaints regarding EU-U.S. DPF, and Swiss-U.S. DPF compliance not resolved by any of the other DPF mechanisms, you have the possibility, under certain conditions, to invoke binding arbitration.
